So today I came across this: http://www.exoticmeatmarket.com/aflime.html
you can buy a pound of lion meat for $99.99. This got me thinking, what other exotic animals is it ethical to eat. (of course these ethics mostly apply to the average American omnivore) Assuming that it is ethical to eat pig (one of the smartest animals) then couldn't one say that it is ethical to eat any animal dumber than a pig? On the subject of how much pain the animal feels, I'm guessing a cow has more nerve endings than most, and pain isn't relative if death is instant. But what if the animal is endangered? Well, let me ask you this, how many cows would there be if humans didn't like beef? Not many. If we are responsible for bringing the animal into the world then it is acceptable to kill and eat it (according to most people I know). So what if you had a farm to raise pandas to make panda burgers? It may sound sick, but if you raised them yourself and were not depleting the rest of the world's population of panda's, then wouldn't it be ethical?
